ALDONA: Aldona MLA Adv Carlos Ferreira questioned DGP as to why was there a need to give clean chit to all ruling politicians during the recently held press conference.
“Press Conference by Goa DGP – what was the need to give the Press conference and give a clean chit to all the ruling politicians? Who asked him to give the Press conference?,” questioned Ferreira
Ferreira questioned, Can such behaviour of the highest officer of the Goa Police. instil confidence in the minds of the people who want to know who are the top politicians involved in this great scam?
“Goa cabinet Minister Babush Monserrate has supported my demand for an independent inquiry by a One Man Commission. Goa’s Agriculture Minister Ravi Naik has said that “Godfather & Godmother will be nabbed soon”.he added
He also said that now former CM Laxmikant Parsekar has rightly said that “Although agents have been arrested, it would not have been possible without political involvement.”
MLA Carlos also said that the youth cannot be continued to be cheated. Genuine and true Goans will lose faith in the system and end up being frustrated and finally leave Goa for better prospects perhaps never to return.
“If BJP Government has nothing to hide, nothing to fear, accept the demand for the One Man Commission,” he added
Also, why are FIRs not being uploaded within 24 hours as directed by the Supreme Court? On 17 Nov 2024, the website shows last FIR uploaded is of 13 Nov 2024.
“This too, when press releases are issued of the registration of the FIR, the sections applied and also if arrest made, the name of the accused arrested,” he added
