Kundaim: An accident involving multiple vehicles occurred at around 8.15 am on Tuesday opposite Jayesh General Store at Manaswada Junction, Kundaim, Ponda, Goa. The mishap involved a Maruti Eco car bearing registration number GA05J3135, three scooters and a truck.
The scooters involved were a Yamaha Fascino (GA07AA0907), a TVS NTorq (GA05Q6348) and a TVS iQube electric scooter (GA05R4412). A truck bearing registration number GA06T5580 was also involved in the accident.
Four persons sustained injuries in the incident. Pooja Chandrakant Naik (27), Pratik Chandrakant Naik (24), both residents of Kundaim, and Prakash Ramchandra Talwar (40), also a resident of Kundaim, suffered simple injuries. Dhruv Anand Velingkar (21), a resident of Veling, was referred to the Sub-District Hospital, Ponda, where he was treated and later discharged.
Police reached the spot and initiated further investigation into the cause of the accident. Traffic at the busy junction was temporarily affected following the incident.
