PORVORIM: Goa Forward Party (GFP) and Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai today have slammed Chief Minister Pramod Sawant’s failure to fulfil and implement last year’s budget.
“The action taken report is an admission of failure of Government; only 66% of works are not completed, and whether they will be completed or not we are not sure,” said Sardesai.
He further said that only 34 per cent of last year’s budget has been implemented while 66 per cent remains unfulfilled.
“CM Sawant has completely failed. I salute the Planning and Statistics department for bringing an honest action taken report. I congratulate them,” he added.
Sardesai claimed that there are 18 departments which have zero fulfilment, and the action taken report is an admission of failure of the Government.
“He should complete the previous budget first. Swayampurna and atmanirbhar are only slogans,” he added.
The Goa Forward Chief said that the Industrial and logistics policy of the Government has failed and that the Government only depends on hotels and air transport as its the only growing sector.
Sardesai said that Action Taken Report exposed BJP Government under Pramod Sawant
could not even score a passing percentage on Budget 2022-23.
“ATR states that only 34% of Total Announcements are Completed & 62% are likely to be completed in 2023-24. 4% Budget Announcements Missing,” he added.
