OLD GOA: Old Goa Police have registered an offence in connection with a road accident that occurred on August 24 at Merces, leaving two persons injured. The case was registered on August 30 following a written complaint by 19-year-old Aarush Puneet Kohli, a student of BITS Pilani, Zuarinagar. According to the complaint, around 6 pm on August 24, Kohli was riding an Activa scooter (GA-06-T-7898) with pillion rider Prachi Chaddah when a white Fortuner (bearing registration GA-05-J, full number not known) came from behind between Merces Circle and Niyaz Restaurant and struck the scooter’s handle. The impact caused Kohli to lose control, resulting in both him and Chaddah falling on the road and sustaining injuries. Police have registered the case under Old Goa PS MV Accident No. 111/25 and are investigating to trace the driver of the Fortuner.
