MERÇES: A case of vehicle theft has been registered after an Activa scooter parked along the service road near the Masjid on GMC Road, Merces, was stolen earlier this year.
According to Santa Cruz Police, complainant Shubham Vaigankar (25), a businessman from St. Agostinho Wado, Santa Cruz, reported that on February 15, 2024, between 1:30 a.m. and 7:00 a.m., unknown person(s) stole his Activa scooter (GA-07-A-5785), which he had parked on the roadside due to low fuel.
The offence was registered on October 14, 2025, at 1:37 p.m. under relevant sections for theft.
Further investigation is being carried out by ASI Anil Dessai of Santa Cruz Police Station.
