PONDA: Goa Dairy is on the path of making profit as the sale too increased, but all is not well with teh Dairy management
Goa Dairy three-member Administrative Committee, headed by Administrator Durgesh Shirodkar, has submitted a memorandum to the Registrar of Cooperative Societies (RCS) recommending the removal of Goa Dairy MD Anil Fadte, citing various reasons and lack of co-operation while managing day to day affairs of Goa Dairy.
Durgesh Shirodkar also said during the Administrative Committee tenure of one year i.e by the end of 31 March 2021, Goa Dairy earned a net profit of Rs 3.5 crore, out of which Rs 1.5 crore is already distributed to farmers.
The Goa Dairy sale is jumped to 60,000 litres per day; earlier in the recent past, it was average around 55000 liters per day.
Durgesh Shirodkar has submitted a letter to RCS on 16 October to remove MD Anil Fadte on the disciplinary ground with replacement Kashi Naik as new MD until the post of MD is filled regularly.
According to Durgesh Shirodkar, Anil Fadte was appointed as acting MD on 16 November 2019. However, recently he has been found ignoring the direction/orders of the Administrator.
Durgesh Shirodkar, in his complaint to RCS, said on 24 September 2021 order was issued to MD Anil Fadte for transferring some employees and handing over the charge of the veterinary section with him to Dr M.A Bale. However, MD Anil Fadte failed to comply with the directions of the superior. On the Contrary, MD informed that such an order issued to him by the administrator committee is erroneous as, according to him, powers of the administrations of the office and other staff matters are vested with MD.
The Administrator also said that apart from this Administration Committee is not pleased with the work performance of Anil Fadte as MD. Durgesh said that besides this, the former Goa Dairy Chairman Rajesh Faldesai had filed a complaint against MD Anil Fadte with RCS that MD Anil has not deposited the money of veterinary bills.
“Around 450 receipts money is yet to be deposited by MD. There is also one harassment case against MD by one woman working in Goa Dairy,” he said.
Durgesh said the Administrative Committee has recommended the MD to absorb in jobs the children of three employees of Goa Dairy who had died while in service; however, MD ignored this suggestion.
Meanwhile, farmers too filed a petition in the Court claiming excess recruitment of 25 staff. The administrator said he has no idea of recruitments, and only Goa Dairy MD can speak on it. MD Anil Fadte has rejected excess recruitment in Dairy.
