MARGAO: In a shocking incident, a prominent Margao lawyer tragically took his own life at his residence in Davorlim, sending shockwaves through the legal community.
He also left a note containing instructions on dividing his estate between his two sons, who are also lawyers.
On August 24, Margao police charged one of the deceased’s sons with allegations of sexual harassment and stalking against a female lawyer.
The accused is said to be undergoing treatment at IPHB, Bambolim.
The note blamed LPSI Anushka Parab and others at Margao police station for harassment.
Meanwhile, Law Minister Alexio Sequeria said that the state government will inquire into the matter.
Also, Margao advocates have demanded FIR against LPSI and the constable named in the L note.
