CANACONA: Canacona police have arrested one person from Agonda while accepting matka bets in an open public place and seized cash and matka materials from the accused matka agent.
According to Canacona police, acting upon a State complaint U/s 11(2)(a) of P. G. Act, Canacona police conducted a raid and caught one Dilkush Puno Velip of Mudchelim, Agonda while accepting matka bets near Rajanipaik Temple, Burmar, Agonda on Tuesday late evening.
The accused was caught red-handed while accepting bets from the public in an open public place and seized from his possession cash of Rs.490/- in different denominations and other matka gambling articles.
The accused Dilkush P. Velip is arrested in the said crime. , and further investigation is conducted by HC Ganu Pagi of Canacona Police Station.
