Mapusa: The Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan, a nationwide organisational strengthening initiative of the Indian National Congress, was formally launched in North Goa by AICC Observer Shobha Oza at the North Goa District Congress Committee office in Mapusa.
Dr. Oza, who has been entrusted with overseeing the organisational restructuring process in the district, initiated consultations to decide and appoint the new District President for North Goa as part of the party’s grassroots revitalisation drive.
The programme was held in the presence of several senior leaders, including Senior Vice President M.K. Shaikh, former Member of Parliament Francisco Sardinha, Vice President Dr. Pramod Salgaonkar, District President Virendra Shirodkar, and Media Department Chairman Amarnath Panajikar, along with office-bearers and Congress karyakartas.
Addressing the press at the outset, Dr. Oza outlined the objectives of the Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan, emphasising transparency, collective leadership, and strengthening the party structure at the grassroots level. She appealed to all office-bearers and workers to actively participate in the organisational process and contribute towards making the Abhiyan a success.
Dr. Oza informed that during her seven-day stay in Goa, she will visit all blocks of North Goa district to interact with party workers at the booth and block levels. She will also meet representatives of civil society organisations, NGOs, and other prominent citizens to understand local issues and incorporate their inputs into the party’s organisational and political strategy.
The Congress party reiterated its commitment to democratic functioning within the organisation and strengthening its connect with the people of Goa.
