New Delhi: Air Chief Marshal AP Singh on Wednesday hailed the Indian Air Force’s performance in Operation Sindoor, calling it a moment of “professional pride” that showcased the decisive role of air power in shaping military outcomes within days.
Speaking at the Air Force Day celebrations at the Hindon air base, the Chief of Air Staff said that the IAF’s bold and accurate strikes during the operation reasserted the importance of offensive air action in the nation’s strategic mindset.
“Operation Sindoor stands as a testament to what can be accomplished through meticulous planning, disciplined training, and determined execution,” he said, adding that India’s precision strikes had restored confidence in the strength of its air capabilities.
He highlighted that the IAF’s robust air defence network and the effective deployment of long-range surface-to-air missile systems had curtailed the adversary’s operations while safeguarding key national assets.
Commending the performance of indigenously developed systems, he noted that the precise and destructive impact of home-grown weapons deep inside enemy territory reaffirmed faith in the country’s defence manufacturing prowess.
The Air Chief also pointed out the steady progress in integrating new technologies, equipment, and weapons into the IAF’s operational framework, describing it as a major achievement.
He credited the force’s culture of accountability, safety, and professionalism for the decline in operational incidents, and praised the leadership across all levels for demonstrating vision, empathy, and commitment to empowering and motivating air warriors.
