Panaji: Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemao on Tuesday brought to the attention of the Goa Legislative Assembly the disruption in commercial LPG cylinder supplies in Bengaluru, cautioning that such developments could pose challenges for the hospitality sector elsewhere.
Alemao noted that hotels and restaurants in Karnataka’s capital have reportedly been severely affected after the supply of commercial gas cylinders was halted, forcing many establishments to struggle with their daily operations.
Highlighting the importance of uninterrupted fuel supply for the hospitality industry, he urged the Goa government to take preventive steps to ensure that similar difficulties do not arise in the state.
The opposition leader called on the government to convene a meeting with stakeholders, including suppliers and representatives from the hotel and restaurant sector, to review the situation and ensure that businesses in Goa continue to function without disruption despite the developments reported in Bengaluru.
