CURCHOREM: All Souls Day was observed at Guardian Angel church, Curchorem on November 2
The Catholic community observes all over the world, All Souls Day by spending a day in prayers remembering their near and dear ones.
In his homely during the Eucharistic celebration Assistant Parish Priest Fr. Ashliff Correia in the presence of Parish Priest Fr. Vital Miranda and Deacon Melvin Gomes, urged the devotees to fulfill the will of God to enter His kingdom.
“Jesus assured each one of us that whoever does the will of God will be allowed in the kingdom of heaven. ” said Fr. Correia and urged the devotees to fulfill it by loving and helping others in their needs.
Earlier on Wednesday, a special prayer service was conducted on the eve of All Souls Day in the church cemetery by
Fr. Correia, while the laity offered prayers to their departed near and dear ones.
The graves were decorated with flowers by their respective family members in preparation for the All Souls Day on Thursday.
