PANAJI: In a significant step towards promoting educational empowerment and social justice, Amit Patkar, President of the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee, has announced that he will personally support the education of 10 deserving Scheduled Caste (SC) students from across Goa.
Speaking on the initiative, Amit Patkar stated that education is the most powerful tool to uplift communities and create equal opportunities for all. He emphasised that many bright students from SC communities face financial constraints, and this initiative aims to ensure that deserving students can pursue their dreams without interruption.
“This is a small but sincere effort to support talented SC students who deserve a fair chance to succeed. Our responsibility as a society is to stand with those who need encouragement and opportunity,” Amit Patkar said.
The initiative will cover educational expenses for selected students, with priority given to meritorious candidates from economically weaker backgrounds across Goa.
The Goa Pradesh Congress Committee reiterated its commitment to social justice, inclusive growth, and empowerment through education, and encouraged more individuals and organisations to come forward to support students in need.
