He said the “law of unintended consequences” seems to be operating stealthily in the ongoing tariff war unleashed by the US but these have the potential to become long-term positives for global growth.
New Delhi: Anand Mahindra has urged India to see the US tariff hike as a chance for bold reform. Calling it a case of the “law of unintended consequences,” he said such disruptions could spark long-term growth.
He proposed two key steps: a true single-window clearance to improve ease of doing business and tourism corridors to boost foreign exchange and jobs. He also called for support to MSMEs, expanded PLI schemes, and lower input duties.
“We can’t fault others for putting their nation first. Let’s make ours greater than ever,” he said.
