PANAJI: Minister for Women and Child Development Vishwajit Rane has informed that his department will be commissioning and launching Digital Anganwadis in the State of Goa.
Minister Vishwajit Rane had a virtual interaction with Director of WCD, Dy. Dir. Of WCD, CDPOs and Mukhya Sevikas.
“From the first week of July, we will be commissioning and launching Digital Anganwadis in the State of Goa. A pilot project that will kick off from Sattari block which will be further expanded to Canacona, Pernem, Salcete and other blocks,” said Rane
He further said that in the meeting they discussed introducing the Digital Anganwadis, where pre-loaded tab will be given to the students.
“Our teachers are already trained to use the Tab for the purpose of imparting education to the children,” he added
Rane said that his department is committed to taking forward the vision for Digital India initiated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Ministry of Women and Child Development has implemented schemes for addressing malnutrition concerns and empowering, developing, and protecting women and children. The schemes are Mission Poshan 2.0, Mission Shakti and Mission Vatsalya.
