PANAJI: Additional Sessions Court has granted bail to Vasant alias Amir Gavande and Imran Bepari on a personal bond of Rs 25,000 in connection to attempt to murder of Anwar Shaikh.
On February 16, at 1.30 pm, one Xavier, full name not known, walked into the Fatorda Police Station informing the men-in-khaki about an assault case wherein a person lay injured at the Fatorda-Ambaji junction.
According to police, all these accused have reportedly assaulted Anwar with iron rods, koita and sticks. Anwar was also shot at and also sustained serious injuries to his knee, thigh, head and right arm in the attack.
