PANAJI: In order to recognize the contribution and service rendered by the individuals and the Co-operative societies in the Co-operative sector, the Co-operative Awards are given by the Government in accordance with the Scheme for the Goa State Co-operative Awards and Assistance. Under this scheme, the Government honours Individuals and Cooperative Societies with the following awards.
The Government of Goa has constituted the Goa State Cooperative Award and assistance committee as required under the scheme “Goa State Cooperative Award and Assistance” under the chairmanship of Shri Ulhas Phaldessai. This committee is entrusted with the responsibility of selected and recommending the individuals and Co-operative Societies of outstanding merit in the field of Co-operation for the year 2023-2024.
In order to acknowledge the contribution of the Cooperative movement by way of giving these Awards the Government has invited applications / nominations from the Individuals /Co-operative Societies along with the details of their contribution, achievements and the service rendered in the field of Co-operative movement in the State of Goa for considering their names for the Co-operative Awards 2023-2024.
The following are the Awards: The Goa Sahakar Ratna Award comprising a plaque and a cash prize of Rs. 1,25,000/- The Goa Sahakar Bhushan comprising a plaque and a cash prize of Rs 75,000/-, The Goa Sahakar Shree Award comprising a plaque and cash prize of Rs 50,000/-, The Goa State Best Co-operative Society comprising a plaque, two awards of Goa State consolation award to a Co-operative Society comprising of a plaque to each society and Assistance to two individuals in the field of Co-operative movement comprising cash of Rs 50,000/-to each individual.
The application / nominations forms so prescribed for the purpose are available on the Departmental Website www.coopgoa.gov.in and at Office of the Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Sahakar Sankul, Patto Plaza, Panaji Goa and all six zonal Offices of the Assistant Registrar of Co-operative Societies at Panaji, Mapusa, Ponda, Margao, Quepem and Bicholim.
All the individuals and the Co-operative Societies desiring to apply for the Awards may collect the prescribed Forms from any of these offices or may download the forms from the official website www.coopgoa.gov.in and submit the duly filled in forms with enclosures in support to the respective Zonal Offices where he concerned society is registered or where concerned individual is residing on or before November 12, 2024 by 5.00 p.m.
