PANAJI: His Eminence Archbishop Filipe Neri Cardinal Ferrao, along with Auxiliary Bishop Most Rev. Simião Fernandes, extended warm Easter greetings to the people of Goa, calling on the community to spread hope, joy, and service.
In his Easter message, the Archbishop described the Resurrection of Jesus Christ as the triumph of light over darkness and hope over despair. He highlighted that in a world often divided by conflict, Easter is an opportunity to act as catalysts of peace.
“As we celebrate the New Life brought by the Risen Lord, I urge everyone to reach out to the marginalized and the lonely. Let our joy be infectious and reflected in concrete acts of service, fostering understanding, forgiveness, and harmony in society,” he said.
The Archbishop also prayed for lasting peace and blessings for homes and the land, emphasizing that the spirit of Easter should inspire unity and compassion across Goa.
