PANAJI: Archbishop Filipe Neri Ferrao has issued a circular urging people to vote for a secular party, thus he has actually extended his support to the BJP itself, the saffron party said.
“In the last 10-12 years, the BJP has done more work for the minority community compared to the Congress. It was during the tenure of the BJP government that the work of the Minority Commission at the Centre and in the state was going on in full swing. Our manifesto is not on the issue of caste and religion like other parties. The BJP is a truly secular party and we welcome the Archbishop’s appeal,” said Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant.
Sawant said the BJP has fulfilled about 90 per cent of the promises made to the countrymen earlier.
“We are determined to fulfil 100 per cent of the promises in the upcoming term. The Modi government is not only guaranteeing promises but also guaranteeing the fulfilment of them,” said CM Dr Sawant said.
He expressed confidence that One Nation, One Election, Uniform Civil Code, Nari Shakti Vandan Act, Citizenship Amendment etc. will be implemented in the upcoming term. Goa’s special manifesto will be released to the public in the next 4-5 day.
