Guirdolim: Sao Jose de Areal SC defeated Wilred Leisure SC of Curtorim 3-2 via the tie-breaker to emerge champions of the Guirdolim Panchayat Cup inter-village football tournament, which was organized by Guirdolim SC and played at Chandor church ground on Sunday.
Both teams failed to score in normal time. In the ensuing tie-breaker, Stalen Oliveira, Daryl Costa, and Aryan Carvalho scored for Areal Sc, while only Fredy Hilario and Ryan Fernandes shot at the target for Wilred Leisure SC. The winners, Areal SC, were richer by 60,000 plus a trophy, while Wilred Leisure SC had to be content with 40,000 plus a trophy.
