PANAJI: The Directorate of Higher Education (DHE) has received nearly 15,000 applications for undergraduate admissions across 40 government and aided colleges for the 2026–27 academic year.
The centralised admission process, which began on March 23, will continue until April 13, with applications being accepted online through the Samarth e-Gov portal on the DHE website.
Over 16,000 students successfully cleared their Class 12 exams this year. Applicants are allowed to select up to five colleges or programmes, and they may also apply for multiple courses within the same college. Candidates are required to register only once on the portal.
Undergraduate programmes available include BA, BCom, BSc, music, theatre, home science, BVoc, BCA, BBA, BA BEd, BSc BEd, BPEd, BA LLB, and BSc Agriculture. For BBA and BCA courses, colleges will conduct offline entrance examinations for applicants.
The merit lists and counselling will be managed individually by each college. Authorities have reminded candidates to complete their online applications before the midnight deadline on April 13.
