Congress President Girish Chodankar has appealed to the President of India Ram Nath Kovind to instruct Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inform Goan’s, as to whom they should address their problems and issues in this critical times of Covid pandemic after Goa Governor Satya Pal Malik publicly acknowledged that Goa CM Dr. Pramod Sawant is a liar.
After loosing total control on administration and getting completely exposed on handling of Covid pandemic, Goa CM has now lost confidence of the Constitutional Head of the State after loosing confidence of people of Goa. The defects are now out in wide open.
Goa Governor Satya Pal Malik also had a ” Judgemental Error” when he tried to defend Dr. Pramod Sawant when the Congress Party called him “Defective Chief Minister” on 15th May 2020 and had urged Governor to take over the administration much before first local positive case was detected in Goa but he defended him by issuing unprecedented press release by Raj Bhawan. If the governor had taken serious note of our valid criticism, the situation would have been different today stated Girish Chodankar.
The acceptance by the Governor himself that refusal of government to Vasco lockdown was a mistake is a admission of the fact that 20 innocent persons lost their lives due to blunder of Dr. Pramod Sawant led BJP government
The people of Goa are now finding a conspiracy theory in announcing the death of former minister Dr. Suresh Amonkar as Covid death. It has now turned out that late Dr. Amonkars report had come as Covid Negative when he passed away. As Governor has rightly pointed out that Covid19 patients were not treated with other ailments due to faulty health management.
We once again demand judicial inquires into suspicious deaths of Jeetendra Deshprabhu and Dr. Suresh Amonkar as both died due to medical negligence. The ill treatment given to Mormugao Councillor late Pascoal D’Souza and other patients who passed away also needs to be probed.
We also demand that role of Health Minister Vishwajit Rane in handling Covid Management in Goa also needs to be investigated.
It is unfortunate that Governor realized it now that Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant”s hurry to declare Goa as Corona Free Green Zone has turned out to be major disaster.
Governor is absolutely right to say that government failed to treat comorbidity patients properly. We demand that immediate steps are taken to ensure that no one is deprived of proper health care.
We once again demand that Governor must ask the government to release Action Plan and White Paper on Covid Pandemic in Goa, failing which Congress Party will be compelled to take a aggressive stand.
