PANAJI: Police Inspector Prashal Desai was reinstated by the Goa Police after he was suspended for allegedly failing to do his duties in the June 2024 Assagao house demolition case.
In the contentious demolition case involving Pooja Sharma and other conspirators, Police Inspector Desai was suspended along with two PSIs, Nitin Naik and Sanket Pokhare.
After Desai claimed that the DGP pressured him to help Pooja Sharma with the June 22 demolition of the Assagao residence, the role of former DGP Jaspal Singh was called into question.
After evading capture for several days, Sharma was able to obtain anticipatory release, while Singh was subsequently moved to Delhi.
