PANAJI: Session Court today has dismissed Pooja Sharma’s anticipatory bail application in the Assagao House demolition Case.
In the Assagao house demolition case, Public Prosecutor (PP) Darshan Gawas, speaking for the Crime Branch, pushed for Pooja Sharma’s questioning while she was in custody on Monday.
The public prosecutor expressed disapproval of the Assagao house’s demolition process and emphasized that a court order is required before evicting occupants from their residence.
Additionally, the public prosecutor informed the court as to why, if the applicant was involved, she had sent a representative to meet with the Agarwadekar family and jeopardize the case.
Senior counsel Surendra Desai argued on Sharma’s behalf, stating that she will appear in court upon request and that no custodial questioning is necessary.
