MARGAO: South Goa Additional Sessions Court has acquitted Assam native Lakshi Basumurthy, from the charges of murdering a security guard at Cuncolim Industrial Estate due to lack of evidence.
66-year- old security guard Siddaramayya Wandar, native of Gokak, Karnataka was found murdered at the IDC Cuncolim on November 24, 2020 while he was on night duty.
Basumurthy who also worked as security guard was accused by the Cuncolim police of killing Wandar over some petty matter and stealing his money.
