FATORDA: Fatorda Police have registered a case against two identified persons and three others for allegedly assaulting a man and criminally intimidating him near Borda, Margao.
The case has been registered under Sections 115(2), 189(2), 351(3) and 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, based on a complaint filed by Mohammad Arif Dukandar, a resident of Rumdamol, Davorlim.
According to police, the incident occurred on December 18, 2025, at around 7.55 pm near Bawarchi Restaurant at Borda. The accused — identified as Tausif Agadi, a resident of Rumdamol, Davorlim, and Shahrukh Nirmani, along with three unidentified male persons — allegedly arrived at the spot in a white Ertiga car and formed an unlawful assembly.
Police said the accused abused the complainant in filthy language and assaulted him with fist blows and kicks, causing bodily injuries.
Further, it is alleged that accused Tausif Agadi later criminally intimidated the complainant by threatening to kill him during a phone call made to one of the complainant’s friends.
Further investigation is in progress and is being carried out by PSI Ramrai Naik of Fatorda Police Station.
