CUNCOLIM: A case of physical assault and verbal abuse was reported in Demani on June 9, 2025, following a complaint filed by Allaudin Shaikh, a resident of Cuncolim.
As per the complaint, the accused persons — identified as Siraj Shaikh, Tajudin Shaikh, Vaida Shaikh, and Farzana Shaikh, all residents of Demani — allegedly abused Allaudin Shaikh using filthy language and physically assaulted him. The complainant sustained injuries after being attacked with fist blows to his face and struck with a wooden danda on his back and other parts of his body.
The accused persons reportedly also assaulted the complainant’s wife and daughter using a wooden danda and a PVC pipe, resulting in injuries to both women.
An FIR has been registered, and the investigation is currently underway under the supervision of PSI Kishor Velip of the Cuncolim Police Station.
Police are recording statements of the victims and eyewitnesses, and further legal action will be taken based on the outcome of the investigation.
