Ponda: The Ponda Police are investigating a case of assault that took place in Curti, Ponda, reportedly over a property dispute.
According to a complaint lodged by Gunja Sharma, a resident of Curti, on October 17, 2025, at around 5:30 pm, three accused — Kalandevi Sharma, Siddhesh Sharma, and Dipesh Sharma, all residents of Curti — allegedly assaulted the complainant with sticks, an iron rod, and a cylinder, causing bodily injuries. When the complainant’s minor son tried to intervene to stop the attack, Siddhesh Sharma and Dipesh Sharma reportedly assaulted him with an iron rod as well.
The police have registered a case, and further investigation is being conducted by PSI Chetan Naik of Ponda Police Station.
