PANAJI: Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant said that the Atal Smruti Sammelan will be organised across Goa from December 25 to December 30 to commemorate the conclusion of the Atal Smruti Shatabdi and to familiarise the younger generation with the life, ideals and social contributions of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
The Chief Minister was speaking after joining a meeting of the BJP Goa Pradesh, chaired in the presence of BJP Goa President Shri Damu Naik and attended by BJP Tamil Nadu leader Shri K. Annamalai. The meeting was also attended by party office-bearers and workers from across the State.
Highlighting the significance of the twin observances, CM Sawant said, “Veer Bal Diwas inspires us to dedicate ourselves to the service of the nation, remembering the supreme sacrifice of the four Sahibzade, while the Atal Smruti Sammelan strengthens our resolve to uphold the ideals of good governance, Antyodaya and our collective mission of building a Viksit Bharat.”
He said the party is observing Veer Bal Diwas across the State in reverent memory of the four Sahibzade, whose courage and sacrifice continue to inspire generations.
Referring to organisational matters, the Chief Minister said that a meeting was held to congratulate all BJP Zilla Panchayat candidates and to discuss a series of programmes scheduled in the coming days.
“We have organised the Atal Smruti Sammelan in many parts of Goa. This Sammelan is being held across the State so that today’s youth can learn about Atal Bihari Vajpayee and his social work. The Atal Smruti Sammelan will begin on December 25 and conclude on December 30,” CM Sawant said.
The programmes form part of the BJP’s efforts to connect with youth, highlight the legacy of national leaders and reinforce the party’s commitment to nation-building and inclusive development.
