VASCO: An attempt by two unknown youths to steal a scooter from the heart of Vasco city in the wee hours of Tuesday failed.
A local resident and social worker Peter Andrade said that the act was captured on the society-installed camera of Chase Chambers situated on Swatantra path.
“The thieves are seen climbing over the common wall between the building and MMC’s children’s park and then trying to make a getaway with the scooter. Their attempts fail as one resident turns up on his scooter and the youth walks away calmly before the resident can realise what’s happening at that midnight hour,” said Andrade.
“Residents have always complained that the children’s park which is mostly dark is a den of nefarious activities and elected representatives are only promising a better situation,” added Andrade.
