Pernem: Mopa Airport Police have registered a case of attempted theft at Shri Dev Vetal Devasthan, Alorna, Pernem, after an unknown person allegedly tried to break open the locks of the temple’s iron door late night.
According to the complaint lodged by Raghunath Halarnkar (53) of Ibrampur, Pernem, the incident occurred between 7 pm on August 14 and 6 am on August 15. The accused is suspected to have attempted to gain entry into the temple premises by tampering with the locks.
Police have registered an offence under Sections 305, 331(2) read with 62 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. Further investigation is being conducted by PSI Viraj Sawant of Mopa Airport Police Station.
