New Delhi: In a landmark move, the Madhya Pradesh Waqf Board has issued its largest-ever recovery notice, demanding ₹27 crore from an individual accused of illegally occupying and profiting from Waqf property. The notice has been served to Shahid Ali Khan, manager of Idara Yateem Khana, who allegedly misrepresented Waqf land as personal property and rented out around 200 commercial shops, generating an estimated income of ₹24.85 crore in violation of Waqf Board rules.
