According to the complaint lodged by Anusha W/o Shrikant Wadkar, the accused, using mobile numbers 9163305970 and 7865870394, contacted her between the night of June 18 and morning of June 19, 2025, claiming to be a TATA SKY representative. Under the pretext of initiating a recharge pack, the caller convinced her to share her banking credentials. Team Goemkarponn COLVALE: Just weeks after an attempt to smuggle drugs into Colvale Central Jail was foiled, prison authorities on Wednesday caught an apprentice allegedly trying to sneak in tobacco products. The incident took place in the afternoon during a security check at the prison gate, where guards found three packets of tobacco hidden on the apprentice, who was assigned to the jail’s CCTV control booth. Team Goemkarponn PORVORIM: Porvorim police have registered a case against a 25-year-old Kenyan national for allegedly staying in Goa without a valid visa. According to police, during a document check at Northern Hill Crest Hotel in Nerul on July 2, the woman, identified as Mary Wanjiku from Nairobi, was found with a genuine passport but failed to produce a valid visa. Police said she was residing illegally in India in violation of the Foreigners Order, 1948, and the Foreigners Act, 1946. An offence has been registered at Porvorim Police Station under relevant sections of the law.
