According to Canacona police, information was received from 108 emergency service staff that one lady jumped into the well near her residence at Agonda late Saturday evening. Team Goemkarponn BICHOLIM: Bicholim police have registered a case after a man allegedly assaulted his brother during a dispute over ancestral property. According to police, Sagun Shankar Halarnkar, 48, a resident of Gaonkarwada in Bicholim, filed a complaint on June 28. He reported that on June 19, at around 7.45 pm, he was attacked by his brother, Babal Shankar Halarnkar, at Cairo Hospital in Bicholim. The complainant alleged that Babal punched him in the face, causing grievous injuries, during an argument related to rights and claims over their ancestral property. Police said an investigation into the matter is underway.

The incident occurred in Morjim, Pernem, on June 28, 2025.
