Team Goemkarponn CANACONA: A 45-year-old man from Mastimol, identified as Venkatesh Naik, passed away at Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC), Bambolim, days after sustaining injuries from a fall at his residence. According to information received from the GMC casualty unit, Naik was admitted on June 14 following a self-fall incident at his home. Despite receiving treatment, he succumbed to his injuries. According to police, information was received from an unknown source stating that a female had committed suicide using a scarf as the ligature material. As per the complaint lodged by Head Constable Sarang Opkar of Ponda Police Station, the incident occurred when the accused, Sumer Singh (30), a resident of Shiroda and native of Rajasthan, was riding his Access scooter in a rash and negligent manner while proceeding from Borim to Shiroda. Team Goemkarponn MORMUGAO: A 45-year-old man from Sindhudurg, identified as Laxman Raut, who was admitted to Goa Medical College (GMC), Bambolim, following a self-motor vehicle accident, passed away while undergoing treatment.
