Team Goemkarponn SANVORDEM: An unidentified male, aged between 40-45 years, who was injured in a railway accident on March 9, 2025, has succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at GMC Bambolim on March 11, 2025. According to police sources, the man was hit by a running train while walking or crossing the railway tracks between Sanvordem and Kalay. He was initially rushed to SGDH Hospital, Margao, before being referred to GMC Bambolim for further treatment. Unfortunately, he did not survive. Team Goemkarponn CALANGUTE: FDA team has commenced late evening inspections on restaurants operating in tourist belt. 15 restaurants were inspected and of which 5 premises were asked to suspend their kitchen operations as there were operating without following the hyginene norms. Others were served improvement notice under FSS Act 2006. It is observed that high end restaurnats are operating under a simple Registration certificate and have not obtained the mandatory FSSAI License.
