Team Goemkarponn PANAJI: For the 18 iron ore dumps up for e-auction, the Directorate of Mines and Geology (DMG) has received 125 offers in total. Beginning on January 22, more than 5.2 million metric tons of minerals that are now in the form of dumps will be put up for e-auction. The settlements of Bandoli and Cormonem have the largest dump, totaling almost 14 lakh metric tons, while Sonus Vonvoliem has 11.7 lakh metric tons. Team Goemkarponn MAPUSA: Mahamedsadiq Badiger of Saligao was arrested on suspicion of raping a lady and was given conditional release by the North Goa Sessions Court and Fast Track Special Court (POCSO). In order to be released, Badiger must sign a bail bond of Rs 50,000 with a surety in the same amount. Team Goemkarponn DHARBANDORA: Ponda Police have arrested Premanand Shankar Gaude, a 54-year-old peon at Gomantak Vidyalay High School in Pillem, Dharbandora, for allegedly abusing a juvenile student and his pals after receiving a complaint from a parent in Tisk-Usgao. The police claim that the accused injured the complainant’s minor kid (name withheld) by hurling stones at his legs and striking him in the face with a slipper.
