Team Goemkarponn PANAJI: Paragliding equipment that was being used illegally at Keri-Pernem was confiscated by the Tourist Police. Around 5:00 p.m., the tourist police conducted an operation at Keri Plateau and discovered Raju Gawandi of Talewada-Pernem paragliding there without authorization. Along with a thorough report, the paragliding equipment was seized and will be forwarded to the tourism agency for any additional necessary action. Following the tragic death of a 26-year-old Pune visitor and the paraglider pilot at Keri-Pernem on January 18, authorities have taken strong action to crack down on unlawful paragliding activity.

As part of the ongoing investigations, the accused person namely Mr. Gaus Khatal Shaikh r/o Sanquelim Bicholim Goa, was apprehended and brought at Crime Branch Ribandar and was placed under arrest in Anjuna Police station. Team Goemkarponn PANAJI: Four Russians, including three women, were dramatically rescued from drowning off Mandrem beach by Drishti Marine lifesavers on Thursday afternoon. The three women, aged 27, 20 and 40 years, along with one man, aged 46 years, found themselves in distress, after sudden and unexpected, high waves surged in the area.
