Locals, on the other hand, claim that illicit stone quarry activity takes place with political favour and the cooperation of government authorities. According to sources, the quarry operator was warned that officials were about to raid the stone quarry, and all equipment had been removed by the time the officials arrived. As a result, authorities from the mining department, Talathi, and a police force were unable to seize any machinery.
