DELHI: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) released its annual financial report on Thursday, showing that its balance sheet has grown to 2.5 times the size of Pakistan’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The report showed that the RBI’s balance sheet size surged by 11% to Rs 70.48 lakh crore (approximately $844.76 billion) as of March 31, 2024. Whereas, Pakistan’s GDP is estimated to be around $338.24 billion by the International Monetary Fund (IMF). DELHI: India’s gross domestic product (GDP) for the fourth quarter of the current financial year grew by 7.8% year-on-year, according to data released by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation on Thursday. This is better than what most economists had predicted. In the same period last year, GDP growth was 6.1%, and in the previous quarter, it was 8.4%.
