As per a police complaint by Abdul Khan, a resident of Margao, the accused Sequeira and his wife received money from the complainant and others on the pretext of providing Portuguese birth registration and Portuguese passport. “After receiving money, the accused deceived and cheated them without providing any such passport,” the police informed while adding that around 50-60 persons from across Goa are suspected of having been cheated for lakhs of rupees.
