Goemkarponn desk PONDA: Major tragedy was averted as a truck proceeding on a steep slope on Dhavlim-Farmagudi road suddenly ran out of fuel and came in the reverse direction. According to the driver of the ill-fated vehicle, the incident occurred around 10 am. He was proceeding towards Farmagudi from Dhavlim. When he reached Farmagudi, he realised that the diesel tank got emptied, so he parked his road on one lane road and procured some diesel.
