PANJIM: Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has informed that the sustaining high windspeeds at surface level has weakened over Goa. “But the windspeeds at around 1.5km above mean sea level is still around 25kts and likely to continue for 24 hours more. MARGAO: The Electricity Employees Union (EEU)-Goa has urged the State government to provide immediate compensation of Rs 50 lakh each along with employment to the family members of those three Electricity Department workers, who died in a road accident, at Borim, on Thursday. The Union has also demanded Rs 20 lakh compensation to the injured employees, who are undergoing treatment. The new Super Specialty hospital will be handed over to the State government on September 30, health Minister Vishwajit Rane informed on Friday. Rane said this after a joint inspection with Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant to review current status of the Super Specialty Block. “HSCC shall be handing over the project to the state government by 30th September 2020 to begin commissioning the same.
