The Mapusa Judicial Magistrate First Class has sent all five arrested in Porvorim murder to 8 days police custody. The Goa police had arrested Vishwajit Dabolkar, Pawan Bhadigar from Sindhudurg while Khayat Sheikh, Altaf Yargarli and Iqbal were picked from different places in Goa. All five are accused of involvement in the Torda murder case. Dabolkar and Bhadigar were picked by the Sindhudurg police and handed over to Goa police followed by the three arrests later during the day. In a brutal murder, the Torda resident Vilas Mehttar was set ablaze by two persons.

All objections and suggestions to City of Panaji Corporation (Ward Committee) Rules, 2020 must be submitted to the Directorate of Municipal administration by October 30th.
