The Public Works Department  Executive Engineer, Division XVI – Buildings Central, Ponda, Goa has issued a tender notice for construction of compound wall at the land allotted for IIT, Goa. The tender notice issued on August 11, 2020 is for construction of compound wall for Indian Institute of Technology, Goa, in V. P Guleli, Sattari, Goa. The estimated cost of the construction is Rs 9.3 cr and has to be completed in 365 days. Aam Aadmi Party sprung a surprise at the Margao municipality by gifting brooms to the sanitation workers at the start of the afternoon shift. Aap leaders Sidharth Karapurkar, Ramiro Mascarenhas among others who were present distributed brand new brooms to about 25 workers who had gathered for their roll call, after ‘learning about the problems faced due to council’s apathy’. In a new revelation that would shock the entire State, the owner of Just Lobo’s Restaurant and bar owner has said he had no idea of his driver F Ahmed’s parcels arriving at his address. On Friday, the Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant’s office released an image of him clearing files while in home isolation after being detected with COVID-19. The picture sparked major controversy as Sawant was seen clearing files without wearing gloves, raising fear about possible transmission of the virus.
