CUNCOLIM: The Cuncolim Police busted a bike theft gang in Cuncolim. Three accused have been arrested from IDC Cuncolim for committing theft of scooters and one for receiving stolen property from Margao. According to the police, the stolen property is worth Rs 3.20 lakh seized from one scrap dealer Arif Gauns Khan from Ravonfond, Margao. Sachin Pednekar (23yrs) and Arjun Godbole (19yrs) both from IDC Cuncolim were arrested first and after interrogation they named another person Saddham Hussain, who was subsequently arrested. The bikes were stolen from Velim, Assolna and Quepem.

Minister for Waste Management Michael Lobo has announced that the Reject Derived Fine (RDF) will be reduced by 50 p.c by November and new plant will be set up at the Sonsodo dump.
