PANJIM:In a bid to put an end to the growing opposition to the proposed IIT project at Melauli village in Sattari taluka, the State Cabinet today resolved to drop 45,000 sq mtrs of land, comprising of age-old temple, from the project. PANJIM: Gangster Zenito Cardozo has finally surrendered before the Old Goa Police. He was the prime accused in connection with the month-old shootout incident at St Cruz. As per sources Cardozo is at the Police Headquarters in Panjim as his arrest formalities are underway. PANJIM:As many as four private hospitals in the state have come on board to treat COVID-19 patients, even as the State is gearing up to set up third dedicated COVID-19 hospital. Panjim: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant today said that the 51st edition of International Film Festival of India (IFFI) will be organized in November, as per schedule. Sawant told reporters that the IFFI will be held as per schedule. The IFFI is annually held between November 20 to 28. PANJIM: Goa has topped in terms of the highest Covid-19 tests carried out so far at 94,773 tests per million as on August 11, while Delhi comes second but far below Goa as it has so far recorded 65,397 tests per million.
