Follwoing protests by Ponda residents on conversion of Ponda Sub district hospital into COVID hospital, the State government has decided to shift the health care facilities to DILASA centre Farmagudi. “The health care facilities for the general public at the Sub-District Hospital Ponda are being shifted to DILASA Center Farmagudi,” Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant said. Blaming the COVID 19 situation in the State, the Speaker of Goa Legislative Assembly has urged the Supreme Court to adjourn the hearing in disqualification of 10 MLAs who crossed over to BJP.
