Team Goemkarponn Margao: A man, approximately 35 years old, was brought dead to the casualty of District Hospital Margao on 19 October 2025 at 23:22 hours. The deceased was discovered lying at Old Railway Station Road, Margao. During the inquiry, it was revealed that the man was a beggar who usually stayed around Station Road, Margao. Police received a wireless message at 02:57 hours from the Casualty Police of GMC Bambolim reporting the death. During the inquiry, Dessai’s wife, Smita Gauns Dessai, informed that he had been undergoing treatment for COPD for the past one and a half years. Team Goemkarponn Quepem: A 45-year-old man, Lavkush Velip of Morpirla, Quepem, drowned in the Sal River at Colyawaddo, Assolna, on 20 October 2025. The incident was reported at 18:09 hours by his friend, Prakash Gaonkar. During the inquiry, the Fire Brigade and 108 emergency services were alerted. With assistance from local fishermen and Fire Brigade personnel, Velip’s body was retrieved from the river. The 108 ambulance staff subsequently declared him dead.
