MARGAO: An awareness session on “Social Media Impact and Cyber Crime” was organised on March 15, 2026 at St. Mary’s Syro Malabar Catholic Church in South Goa.
The initiative was organised by Rev. Fr. Mathew Moothaseryil for the well-being of students and the local community. The session was conducted by Allen Pauly Payappilly, Cyber Yoddha of Goa Police and ISEA representative.
During the programme, participants were encouraged to reflect on the growing influence of social media and the rising challenges related to cybercrime. Through interactive discussions and real-life examples, the session highlighted the importance of responsible digital behaviour and online safety.
Students and community members were urged to become responsible digital citizens by using technology positively and remaining cautious while engaging on social media platforms.
The initiative was widely appreciated by attendees for creating awareness and empowering people with knowledge to stay safe and confident in the digital world.
